It involves grand celebrations with our dear ones through lavish parties, luxurious events, etc. However, we wish to celebrate our marriage in a very special manner - in a unique way, through which we can extend our exhilaration and happiness to those who need it the most. There are thousands of physically challenged people in the Valsad district of Gujarat. With an aim of making this entire district Viklang-free, a rehabilitation centre for physically challenged patients has been established, which is named Shrimad Rajchandra Viklang Centre. It is a one-of-a-kind facility in the entire Valsad district, where physically challenged adults and children are treated through surgery, prosthesis/orthosis, physiotherapy or a combination of these. The residential physiotherapy unit includes facilities to accommodate patients with their relatives. Residential rehabilitation camps are also organised for disabled children at Shrimad Rajchandra Viklang Centre. Furthermore, to provide widespread benefit to those suffering from physical disability and are unable to reach Shrimad Rajchandra Viklang Centre, camps are organised in villages covering major areas of South Gujarat. The patients are provided with custom made artificial foot, leg, hand and other supportive appliances such as crutches and splints to help them restore mobility. Children suffering from Polio, Cerebral Palsy and birth defects and who require surgery to correct their deformities are referred to Shrimad Rajchandra Hospital, where corrective surgeries are performed free of cost by leading paediatric orthopaedic surgeons.
