Announcements 05-07-2025 A Tribute to Late Shri Vijaybhai Rupani: Former Chief Minister of Gujarat, Shri Vijaybhai Rupani, lost his life in the unfortunate crash of Air India flight on 12 Jun, 2025. Shri Vijaybhai was a statesman known for his many virtues like decisive leadership, organisational ability, unifying spirit, soft-spoken and simple nature, sweet and effective communication, humility, pragmatism and a genuine intent to uplift everyone. A true Jain Ratna, he upheld Jain dharma in his public and personal actions. He established the Pujit Rupani Memorial Trust to serve needy children and played a vital role in strengthening Jain institutions. Shri Vijaybhai held deep reverence for and devotion towards Param Krupalu Dev Shrimad Rajchandraji and Pujya Gurudevshri, who also shared a personal, soulful connection with him. He wholeheartedly supported the Mission’s spiritual, religious, social, seva activities and celebrations with joy and dedication. He acted as a bridge between the government and the Mission, always approachable, cooperative and welcoming. In 2019, during Paryushan Parva, he was honoured with the Shashan Ratna Award at the revered hands of Pujya Gurudevshri, in recognition of his distinguished service to Jin Shashan. His passing is an irreparable loss to the country, to Gujarat state and the Jain community. He will always be remembered in people’s hearts for his ideals, values and societal contributions. SRMD Yoga – Towards a Global Movement on the 11th International Day of Yoga: With over 100 events across multiple countries, SRMD Yoga impacted thousands of lives on the 11th International Day of Yoga held on Sat, 21 Jun, 2025. It wasn’t just yoga. It was transformation — across continents, cultures and communities. Yoga was reimagined through innovative forms like Chair Yoga, Tai Chi Yoga, Dandiya Yoga, Aerial Yoga, Gong Baths and Floating Sound Baths. SRMD Yoga was lovingly invited by venerable Bhikkhu Sanghasena, founder-president of Mahabodhi International Meditation Centre, for one of Ladakh’s largest yoga and meditation festivals. SRMD Yoga held sessions across the breathtaking Himalayan region — the Leh Astro Turf Stadium, Nubra Valley and Pangong Lake. The festival was also attended by Shri Arjun Ram Meghawal, Minister of Law and Justice and Kiran Bedi, former Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry and various other dignitaries. SRMD Yoga was also given the opportunity to deliver a talk at a seminar in the University of Ladakh, followed by closing remarks at the final ceremony – sharing Pujya Gurudevshri’s profound message of inner wellness, balance and the relevance of yoga as a global solution to well-being. Pujya Gurudevshri was honoured with the prestigious Himalayan Yoga Award for World Peace by Venerable Bhikkhu Sanghasena. At Vadnagar, the hometown of our Honourable Prime Minister, a Guinness World Record was set with the largest-ever mass performance of Bhujangasana. As history was created, SRMD Yoga was a part of the team leading the demonstration from the front. This historic event was held in the esteemed presence of the Chief Minister of Gujarat, Shri Bhupendra Patel and Health Minister Shri Rushikesh Patel. SRMD Yoga continued its collaboration with Indian Consulates in Dubai, Sydney, Adelaide, Toronto and Hong Kong to take yoga to a global audience. SRMD Yoga also reached the Indian Armed Forces and police units, with sessions conducted across locations including INS Dwarka, Central Amoured Fighting Vehicle Depot, Pune and multiple Railway Protection Force (RPF) units. In the UAE, sessions were held at the iconic Dubai Frame, an architectural landmark. Yoga was also brought to the heritage-rich Victoria & Albert Museum in London. The iconic St. Regis Mumbai extended an invitation to SRMD Yoga to conduct wellness sessions for a month-long collaboration. Sessions were also conducted at the Taj Group of Hotels in Ranthambore, Rajasthan. In Surat, hundreds of participants immersed themselves in Naad Yoga sound healing at the Anand Naad Fest 2025. SRMD Yoga also partnered with corporate giants such as TATA, MSI International, Capgemini, and Hindustan Unilever, as well as esteemed educational institutions across India. In Miami, sessions were offered as part of the World Health Expo and the Wellness Festival. A wholesome session was also conducted in Kenya, Africa, for children and underserved communities. Individuals of diverse nationalities and ethnicities thus experienced Pujya Gurudevshri’s radiant love through the medium of yoga. Paryushan Mahaparva 2025 in Mumbai (Wed, 20 – Wed, 27 Aug, 2025): The crown jewel of Jain festivals, Paryushan Mahaparva will be celebrated at NSCI Dome, Worli in Mumbai from Wed, 20 – Wed, 27 Aug, 2025. The morning sessions will begin with joyous Snatra puja after which Pujya Gurudevshri will bless the devotees with pravachans based on ‘Stoppage of Karma’ (Samvar Dwar) of the sacred text Natak Samaysaar. The evening sessions will begin with diverse elevating spiritual programmes like drama, bhakti, meditation, Mahavir Jayanti celebration, performance by the children of Shrimad Rajchandra Divinetouch, cultural performances and more. They will be followed by Pujya Gurudevshri’s pravachans on ‘Cure the Disease of Transmigration’ based on Patrank 505 of Shrimad Rajchandra Vachanamrut. In addition to this, children from both the above age groups will also explore the four pillars of Maitri-Pramod-Karuna-Madhyastata, through interactive activities, stories, games and discussions. Swamivatsalya has been arranged for mumukshus who do Paryushan Mahaparva aradhana for all eight days at the Dharampur Ashram.
