Pujya Gurudevshri Meets Honourable Governor of Maharashtra

Commemorating the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the glorious theatrical tribute, ‘Bharat Bhagya Vidhata’, is creating a buzz all around. Presented by Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur in association with the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, the play showcases Gandhiji’s life and inner revolution that carved India’s fate and propelled the nation to march towards freedom.

On the evening of May 1st, ‘Bharat Bhagya Vidhata’ was all set to be premiered in Mumbai on the occasion of Maharashtra Day in the divine presence of Pujya Gurudevshri, hosted by the Honourable Governor of Maharashtra Shri C. Vidyasagar Rao at his residence – the Raj Bhavan. The home reception was going to be attended by Honourable Chief Minister of Maharashtra Shri Devendra Fadnavis, members of foreign consulates, celebrities and corporates.

An unfortunate occurrence on May 1 led to the death of 15 security personnel when they were attacked and killed by Maoists in Maharashtra’s Gadchiroli district. As a mark of respect to the 15 police personnel who were martyred in this tragedy, the home reception and performance of the drama at the Raj Bhavan was cancelled. Standing in solidarity with the nation and to offer condolences for the lives lost in this incident, Pujya Gurudevshri met the Honourable Governor at his residence. The Master was accompanied by Atmarpit Nemiji; President of Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur, Vanprastha Abhaybhai Jasani; Steering Committee members; Sarvarpit Amit Sheth and Sarvarpit Bhavin Rupani.

The Honourable Governor was apprised of the Mission’s activities and he expressed appreciation for the Mission’s efforts, especially in the healthcare sector. He also extended his support for the Mission’s future activities. Pujya Gurudevshri and the Honourable Governor also had an affable exchange in private. They also interacted with the cast and crew of the play, ‘Bharat Bhagya Vidhata’.
