Salient Spaces A Day in the Ashram Schedule Plan a Visit Shrimad Rajchandra Ashram, Dharampur Nestled on a quiet hillock in the outskirts of the town of Dharampur in Southern Gujarat, is Shrimad Rajchandra Ashram, the International Headquarters of Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur. Spread over a lush expanse of 223 acres, envisioned by Pujya Gurudevshri, this spiritual sanctuary is a vibrant centre of activity dedicated to the pursuit of a higher existence. For spiritually parched souls, Shrimad Rajchandra Ashram, Dharampur is an oasis that will revive your faith. Salient Spaces x Jinmandir Adorning the highest point of the Ashram, the magnificent new 108-pillar Jinmandir will stand as a testimony to the timeless tenets of Jainism for generations to come. Bhagwan Mahavira as the moolnayak or principal deity will be flanked by idols of six other Tirthankar Bhagwans. The dhwaja or ceremonial flag at a height of 108 feet, will soar high over the pinnacle of the Ashram. Built over 2.5 acres of land, with five impressive shikhars or crests, two large mandaps or squares, the richly carved structure will accommodate over 1600 seekers. The present-day Jinmandir is a sanctum sanctorum of peace and serenity inaugurated on Mahavir Jayanti in 2002. x Gurumandir Housed within the Jinmandir complex, a spectacular Gurumandir will be consecrated with a glorious idol of Shrimad Rajchandraji in the lotus position, right below Bhagwan Mahavira in the Jinmandir. Additionally, four idols of Shrimad Rajchandraji in the lotus and standing positions will ensure that seekers can behold Him from any place. 150 ornate pillars will reflect the Gurumandir’s architectural splendour, while accommodating over 1600 seekers within the space. Shrimad Rajchandraji’s parents will be sculpted on two pillars in front of the sanctum sanctorum. Four pillars in the centre of the Rajmandir will have carvings of Shrimadji’s foremost devotees: Pujyashri Saubhagyabhai, Pujyashri Lalluji Muni, Pujyashri Ambalalbhai and Pujyashri Juthabhai. The present Gurumandir is a profound space for prayer, meditation and contemplation inaugurated on Mahavir Jayanti in 2001. x Amphitheatre The Ashram’s spirit converges in the Amphitheatre where the majestic 34-foot idol – the world’s tallest statue of Shrimad Rajchandraji – towers over the spiritual valley. The monumental idol is poised over a tranquil water body, an ode to Shrimadji’s lotus-like spiritual state. Inaugurated at the 150th Birth Anniversary of Shrimad Rajchandraji in November 2017, the Mahamastakabhishek ceremony of the 34-foot pratimaji is performed every year. The space can accommodate over 5,000 devotees. 108 trees have been planted on the pathway leading to the Amphitheatre with 108 quotes from Shrimad Rajchandra Vachanamrutji. x Satsang Hall Complex A powerful site to uncover the hidden depths of spirituality and elevate yourself with Pujya Gurudevshri’s edifying discourses, the iconic and new Satsang Hall auditorium will seat 5,500 seekers.
