Shrimad Rajchandra Skill Development Centre Receives a Financial Grant from NABARD

Despite the ongoing pandemic and its economic impact, Shrimad Rajchandra Skill Development Centre has continued to help rural youth, especially school drop-outs and those with limited means of livelihood, from South Gujarat to receive job placements. Over the years, such youth have been provided counselling and free short-term vocational and soft skills courses at the Centre.

In recognition of the work being carried out, and in order to further expand its reach, a generous grant was received from National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), India’s apex regulatory body for controlling and licensing of regional rural banks and apex cooperative banks. This acknowledgement from a national institution re-affirms the quality of vocational training given, as well as the management and governance processes setup at the Centre. Shri Gaurav Kumar – District Development Manager, Valsad, NABARD had recently visited the Centre and appreciated the initiatives. Such grants will go a long way, as Shrimad Rajchandra Skill Development Centre is in the phase of expanding its infrastructure as well as increasing the number of courses it offers.
