Ingredients(Serves 4):

  • One can condensed milk
  • ½ cup corn flour
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ⅛ cup milk
  • 5 tbsp margarine
  • ⅓ cup sugar
  • 3 tbsp icing sugar, for dusting
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp vanilla essence
  • Salt to taste


  • Prepare Dulce de Leche by boiling unopened condensed milk can in a deep pan filled with water for three hours. Ensure tin is completely immersed else it will burst. Remove tin and cool it.
  • Mix milk, margarine, sugar and vanilla essence. Whip until creamy.
  • Add both flours, salt and baking powder. Mix well. Add margarine mixture and mix to form dough.
  • Transfer it to a cling wrap. Cover tightly. Refrigerate for one hour.
  • Preheat the oven to 175°C. Roll the dough between two parchment papers. Bake cookies for twelve minutes until golden brown.
  • Spread 1 tsp Dulce de Leche over a cookie. Top it with another cookie.
  • Dust with icing sugar and serve.
