Som Tam Thai Salad

Salads provide an excellent source of fibre, vitamins, and nutrients and are easy to digest. Try this recipe to serve a healthy as well as tasty meal to your family.

For Dressing

  • 1 cup roasted peanuts
  • 1 teaspoon soya sauce
  • 1 cup sweet chilli sauce
  • 1 tablespoon jaggery
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon pepper

For Salad

  • 1 raw papaya
  • 1⁄2 cup boiled green beans cut along the length
  • 1⁄2 chopped yellow capsicum
  • 8 – 10 cherry tomatoes cut into halves

Instructions

  1. Put all the ingredients of the dressing together in a mixer. Blend them and make a paste. Chill the paste in refrigerator for some time.
  2. Put all the ingredients of the salad in a bowl. Mix them well.
  3. Add dressing to the salad and toss well.
  4. Serve cold.
