Schezwan Paneer Wrap

Treat your near and dear ones with a sensational and spicy Schezwan Wrap.

Ingredients

For Schezwan Sauce:
  • 20 kashmiri red chilli
  • 1 tbsp dry ginger powder (soonth)
  • 1 capsicum
  • 2-3 branches of celery leaves
  • 5 tbsp cooking oil
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp cornflour
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 & 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup tomato ketchup
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper powder (mari)

For Schezwan Paneer Stuffing:
  • 250 gm paneer cubes medium sized
  • 2 capsicum finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup coriander leaves (kothmir)
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1/4 cup cabbage (kobi), finely chopped

For Wraps:
  • 2 cups maida
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tbsp margarine or ghee

Instructions:

For Schezwan Sauce:
  1. Boil red chillies and dry ginger powder for 3-4 minutes.
  2. Add capsicum and celery to this. Make a paste.
  3. Heat oil in a pan. Add this paste and all the other ingredients of schezwan sauce to it.
  4. Boil this mixture till it becomes consistent. Keep it aside.

For Schezwan Paneer Wrap:
  1. Warm a tsp of oil in a pan and sauté finely chopped capsicum in it.
  2. Add paneer and sauté it for 2 minutes.Add 2 tsp of the above prepared schezwan sauce to this mixture. Stir well.
  3. Add coriander to the mixture. Keep it aside.
  4. Mix all the ingredients required for the wrap and make dough.
  5. Roll out the dough to make a round shaped base for the wrap.
  6. Add margarine or ghee in a pan and cook the base.
  7. Sprinkle finely chopped cabbage and coriander on this cooked base.
  8. Place the schezwan paneer stuffing at the centre of the base, roll it and serve hot.
