On the other hand, skipping breakfast is an invitation to fatigue. Here is a healthy breakfast option which will help you kick-start your day on an energetic note. Twisting the traditional uttapam, making it more digestive and diabetic-friendly.

Ingredients

  • 100 grams oats jav uncooked
  • 100 grams semolina rava
  • 150 grams low fat curd
  • 100 grams capsicum finely chopped
  • 100 grams tomato finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoon green chilli paste
  • 8 teaspoon oil
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Mix the oats, semolina, capsicum, tomato, green chilli paste and salt into curd to form a batter. Ensure that this batter gains semi-liquid consistency.
  2. Spread 1⁄2 teaspoon of oil on a medium flare pan.
  3. Pour this batter on the pan and spread it around to make a saucer sized uttapam.
  4. As soon as one side is adequately browned, flip the uttapam on the other side and roast it till it is golden brown. Add more oil, as needed, to roast the uttapam.
  5. Serve hot.
