Guava Apple Crisp

Relish the sweetness of Guava Apple Crisp

Ingredients

  • 2 guavas, chopped (jaamfal)
  • 1 apple, small pieces soaked in water
  • 1⁄2 cup guava juice
  • 1⁄4 cup glazed cherries
  • 1⁄2 cup refined flour (maida)
  • 1⁄4 cup corn flour
  • 1⁄4 cup brown sugar
  • 1⁄4 cup margarine
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder (dalchini)

Method

  • In a bowl, mix guava, apple (after draining water), guava juice, cherries, vanilla essence and cinnamon powder.
  • Add 1 tbsp refined flour and mix gently till the fruits are covered with flour.
  • In another bowl, mix refined flour, corn flour, brown sugar and margarine till it forms a crumbly crust.
  • In a greased baking dish, pour the fruit mixture evenly and cover it with crust.
  • In a pre-heated oven, bake the mixture for 30 minutes at 200ºC.
  • Cool and serve the delicious guava apple crisp.
