Chocolate Hazelnut Shake with Basil Seeds
Let us relish a non-dairy, healthy shake, packed with the goodness of basil seeds
Ingredients
- 1.5 cups water
- 1/2 cup whole hazelnuts (with or without skin), soaked in water overnight and drained (one can also try other nuts e.g. cashew, almond etc. according to taste)
- 2 tbsp soaked basil seeds (takmaria)
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 8 seedless dates (khajur)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 20 ice cubes
Instructions
- 1. Combine water, hazelnuts, basil seeds, cocoa powder, dates and salt in a blender and blend until smooth. You can adjust any ingredient to taste, if needed.
- 2. Add ice and blend again to create a milkshake-like texture
- 3. Serve this chilled, dairy-free shake and benefit from the nutritive properties of basil seeds.
