Prepare this delicious Caramel Apple Mousse Cake, and spread the sweetness of His Grace to one and all.

Ingredients

For Cake: Dry ingredients:

  • 1 apple peeled and chopped
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1⁄4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1⁄2 tsp baking soda
  • 1⁄2 tsp baking powder
  • 1⁄4 tsp cinnamon powder taj
  • 1⁄4 tsp nutmeg powder jaifal
  • Salt to taste

Wet ingredients:

  • 3 tbsp apple sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 1⁄4 cup oil
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1⁄2 tsp of vanilla extract

For Caramel Mousse:

  • 1 cup caramel dip
  • 2 1⁄2 cups whipped cream
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

For Topping:

  • 1⁄2 cup caramel dip
  • 1⁄2 cup toasted nuts

Instructions

Method:
  • 1. In a bowl, mix all the dry ingredients.
  • 2. Add the wet ingredients and stir.
  • 3. Pour the mixture in a greased cake tin.
  • 4. Bake in a preheated oven for 45-50 minutes at 180⁰C.
  • 5. Cool the cake base and then horizontally slice it into 3-4 layers.
  • 6. In a bowl, mix 1 cup of caramel dip and powdered sugar.
  • 7. Add this mixture to the whipped cream and mix well.
  • 8. Spread this mixture on each layer of the cake and stack them one above the other.
  • 9. Spread the 1⁄2 cup caramel dip on the top layer of the cake and allow it to drip from the sides.
  • 10. Decorate with toasted nuts.
