Black Beans Roll with Dry Chilli Hummus in a Wrap

Ingredients

For the Rolls
  • 2 cups black beans soaked and crushed
  • 1 cup corn flakes
  • 4 tbsp red chilli powder
  • 2 tsp chilli flakes
  • 2 tsp chaat masala
  • 2 tsp dry mango amchur powder
  • oil for frying
  • salt to taste

For Dry Chilli Hummus
  • 6 dry red chillies soaked
  • 2 cups chickpeas channa, boiled and crushed
  • 3 cups hung curd
  • 4 tbsp mixed herbs
  • 4 tbsp oil
  • salt to taste
  • water

For the Wraps
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 4 tbsp chilli flakes
  • 4 tbsp oil
  • salt to taste

For the Assembly
  • ghee for greasing

Instructions

For the Rolls
  1. Take black beans in a bowl and add red chilli powder, chilli flakes, chaat masala, dry mango powder and salt. Mix well.
  2. Shape out rolls of this mixture and coat them with cornflakes.
  3. Deep fry these coated rolls.
For Dry Chilli Hummus
  1. Crush the soaked dry red chillies till it becomes a fine paste. Add water if necessary.
  2. Mix the crushed chickpeas, chilli paste, hung curd, mixed herbs, oil and salt till it attains uniform consistency.
For the Wraps
  1. Mix flour, oil and salt to form dough.
  2. Knead well and add chilli flakes to this dough.
  3. Roll out medium thick tortillas and semi cook them in a pan.
Assembly
  1. Spread dry chilli hummus on the tortillas and place the fried rolls in centre. Wrap the tortilla around the roll.
  2. Grease a non-stick pan with ghee and cook this assembly until it becomes golden brown.
  3. Serve this hot and tasty black beans roll with dry chilli hummus in a wrap.
