Ingredients

For cottage cheese mixture:
  • 1 cup low fat cottage cheese paneer
  • 4 tbsp low fat milk
  • 4 tsp sugar
  • few saffron strands kesar

For fruit stuffing:
  • 1 cup apples sliced
  • 4 tsp brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg powder jaifal
  • few drops lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Dissolve the saffron strands in the low fat milk and set it aside.
  2. Then add sugar and low fat cottage cheese to it and mix in a blender to prepare a paste.
  3. To prepare the fruit stuffing, mix all the ingredients for the stuffing and set them aside for 20 minutes.
  4. Drain the water in fruit stuffing and place it in a 150 mm diameter greased pie plate.
  5. Uniformly spread the cottage cheese mixture over the fruit stuffing.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 220⁰C for about 15 minutes.
  7. Take out the pie and serve it warm.
  8. The pie can also be served with vanilla ice cream or custard.
