Supreme Devotion

Like a thread that passes through the pearls, binding them together into a beautiful necklace, the underlying factor beneath Pujya Gurudeshri’s innumerable virtues, binding them all together is His Supreme Devotion towards His Lord, His Sadguru, Param Krupalu Dev.

What is Devotion? Devotion is not just singing Lord’s glory. It is a metamorphosis of one’s entire existence; a transformation in the way one sees, believes, thinks and acts. With devotion, it is the Lord that holds apex position in one’s life. “I” loses its importance and “HE” becomes his sole focus in life. Devotion is a glorious amalgam of Love, Faith and Surrender towards the Lord. Pujya Gurudevshri is a living example of such Devotion.

Love

It is said that when one is in love it is impossible to conceal it. If this is the case with worldly love, how can the Divine love of Pujya Gurudevshri for Param Krupalu Dev remain hidden! His love is clearly evident in smallest of His gestures – the way His eyes change when He does darshan of Param Krupalu Dev, His bubbling enthusiasm for visiting places graced by Param Krupalu Dev, the inexplicable joy on seeing objects touched by Param Krupalu Dev, etc. All these bear testimony that Param Krupalu Dev holds the prime position in His heart always. To the extent that even if a yoga asana has the word ‘Raj’ in its name, He wants to gain perfection in doing that asana first.

Faith

Since the time Param Krupalu Dev has entered Pujya Gurudevshri’s life, He has had an unflinching faith in Him. Having found the refuge in His Sadguru, Pujya Gurudevshri was convinced that He needs nothing more. While His extended family worshipped other demigods and even persuaded Him to do the same, Pujya Gurudevshri firmly believed, even at that young age, that the grace of Param Krupalu Dev alone is enough for Him to guide Him to His ultimate goal.

With a strong faith in His Sadguru, Pujya Gurudevshri had no hesitance in offering His entire life at the Lotus Feet of Param Krupalu Dev. “What dream has my Guru seen for me?” was the question that was ablaze within Pujya Gurudevshri’s being and He yearned for an answer; as it was His Guru’s ajna that was of paramount importance to Him. This longing became so intense that one day in Jaipur, He observed complete silence, consumed nothing but milk and offered 10,000 khamasamans at Param Krupalu Dev’s Lotus Feet, till He received the answer to His question. On completion of His schooling, He declared His resolution to devote the rest of His life in practicing and spreading the teachings of Param Krupalu Dev.

Surrender

Pujya Gurudevshri’s entire life, from the smallest of tasks to biggest of achievements, all is an offering to Param Krupalu Dev. On December 2, 1998, the University of Mumbai conferred the degree of Ph.D. Pujya Gurudevshri for His thesis on Param Krupalu Dev’s magnum opus – Shri Atmasiddhi Shastra, entitling Him, ‘Dr. Rakesh Jhaveri’. That very night, He dedicated the degree at the Lotus Feet of Param Krupalu Dev and decided never to use the ‘Dr.’ prefix before His name.

His constant endeavour to spread Param Krupalu Dev’s teachings to seekers across the globe has resulted in the formation of a worldwide movement today. With 201 Satsang Centres and 92 Youth Groups across the world, thousands of seekers are progressing on the spiritual path under the guidance of Pujya Gurudevshri. At 252 Children’s learning centres, Divinity is unfolding in numerous young hearts, with the grace of Pujya Gurudevshri. Millions of needy and destitute souls have received the tender touch of love and care, through the benevolent 10 care programme initiated with the inspiration of Pujya Gurudevshri. But, for Him all this is just the grace of Param Krupalu Dev. There isn’t an iota of doership or ownership in any of these accomplishments. And the testimony for the same is the fact that all these carry the pious name of Param Krupalu Dev only, viz, ‘Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur’, ‘Shrimad Rajchandra Youthwing’, ‘Shrimad Rajchandra Divinetouch’, ‘Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care’! Nowhere has Pujya Gurudevshri left His own signature in any of the undertakings – All of HIM, for HIM, by HIM!

Truly, Pujya Gurudevshri is Devotion Personified!

Let Us Be Like Him!

Let us not stop at just applauding His qualities. Let us take steps to cultivate them within us.

  • Love: Let us deepen our love for the Guru by loving Him more than any of the worldly things. Let us affirm, ‘Though I like my smartphone, I love Gurudev more’, ‘Though I like my friends, I love Gurudev more’ and increase the love so much that the liking for worldly things fades away.’
  • Faith: A strong faith in Him forms the backbone of our spiritual journey. Let us affirm, ‘Gurudev knows what is good for me, more than I do’, ‘Gurudev is a better well-wisher of mine than I am.’
  • Surrender: The best way to lead a life is to be an instrument in His hands. Let us affirm, ‘Gurudev, Let Thy Will be done, not mine’, ‘Gurudev, Your Ajna is a full stop in my life. Nothing exists beyond it.’

“From this day onward, let this body etc.
behave as commanded by the Lord;
I am just a servant, very humble,
the most humble servant of the Lord.”
