Shrimad Rajchandra Hospital has been one of the few NGO-run hospitals in Valsad district which treats children with birth defects and provides paediatric super-specialist services. To commemorate ‘World Birth Defects Day’, Shrimad Rajchandra Hospital was presented with an award by Ms. Arpit Sagar – District Development Officer, Valsad in recognition of its healthcare services over the years. Shrimad Rajchandra Hospital has been treating significant number of children with birth defects like club foot, neural tube defect, congenital heart disease, retinopathy of prematurity, limb deformities etc. and has been training healthcare workers for early identification and management of birth defects.
Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care’s Educational Care initiatives have been supporting the Valsad district administration in the past few years in improving the academic performance of students through various means like preparation of study material, question banks, assessments and designing bridge courses. Recently, it provided financial support to the District Education Office in publishing 23 books containing question banks and model question-answer papers for grade 10 and 12 students of all streams, which was especially helpful in view of the ongoing pandemic. A special memento was presented at a ceremony organised by the District Education Office and the District School Examination Committee of Valsad, attended by Shri R. R. Raval – Collector, Valsad; Shri K. F. Vasava – District Education Officer and several other dignitaries. Two teachers of Shrimad Rajchandra Gurukul were felicitated with a medal and certificate for good performances by their students in the board examinations held in 2020.
