Every year, as the academic calendar resets, families across India brace for the added expense of notebooks, school bags, and stationery. Often, this is a cost that can stretch already limited household budgets, particularly in rural and tribal regions. It is this gap that the Shrimad Rajchandra Educational Aids Drive has worked to bridge, year after year.
This year, the initiative’s reach spanned over 125 centres nationwide, powered by more than 500 volunteers whose coordinated efforts ultimately benefitted over 1.5 lakh students across the country.
Distribution centres in Ahmedabad, Baroda, Dharampur, Leh, Ladakh, Nagpur, Rajkot, Samastipur, Surat, Warangal, amongst several others, organised drives during March to June, drawing enthusiastic participation from students and families alike. The Dharampur region drive was conducted across more than 50 centresin two phases, from 30th April to 4th May and 1st to 4th June.
Together, these efforts placed various educational essentials into the hands of students nationwide, equipping each one with the tools needed for the year ahead. All materials were made available at nearly 35% below prevailing market rates, easing the financial burden on families at a crucial time of the year.
