Skill-based competitions in mehendi and beauty were organised to celebrate the progress of students enrolled in the Vocational Training Programme.
Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care organised competitions for students of its Vocational Training Programme, which empowers women from low-income communities across Mumbai. The event covered Basic Mehendi, Advanced Mehendi, and Beauty categories. Women received certificates, prizes, and practical guidance on their crafts.
One participant shared, “I have been coming to these training programmes for the past five years. The teachers have taught me so much. Through this programme, I had the opportunity to receive my first order at the Taj Mahal Hotel in Mumbai, and I still remember how happy I was to go inside and apply mehendi. After that, the orders kept coming. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you. No one else does this kind of seva in our area.”
