Celebrating 25 years of Selfless Service
Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care recently celebrated its journey of selfless service, through a grand celebration at the iconic Tata Theatre, National Centre for the Performing Arts, Mumbai to express its gratitude to donors, supporters and well-wishers. The event was attended by over 900 people, which included prominent dignitaries like Hon’ble Justice S. N. Variava – Former Judge, Supreme Court of India; Hon’ble Justice K. K. Tated – Bombay High Court; Hon’ble Justice Anoop Mohta – Former Judge, Bombay High Court; Shri Ashutosh Kumbhkoni – Advocate General, State of Maharashtra; Shri Subramaniam Ramadorai – Ex CEO and Managing Director, Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.; Shri Ajay Srinivasan – Chief Executive Officer, Aditya Birla Capital Ltd.; Smt. Sangita Jindal – Chairwoman, JSW Foundation; Shri Mihir Doshi – Managing Director and India Head, Credit Suisse; Shri Sumanlal Shah – Kotak Group and Business Standard Group; Dr. Yogendra Trivedi – Director, Reliance Industries Ltd.; Shri Mahesh Balasubramanian – Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Kotak General Insurance and several others.
The event saw mesmerising musical performances by renowned artists Roop Kumar Rathod, his wife Sunali Rathod and daughter Reewa Rathod; Kavita Seth and Ameya Dabli. In a touching gesture, these artists performed without charging any fees. Students from Shrimad Rajchandra Gurukul and Shrimad Rajchandra Vidyapeeth performed a traditional tribal dance and a skit depicting their tales of transformation. These heartfelt dedications received a standing ovation from the audience. A 2 minute silence was also observed in memory of the CRPF jawans martyred in the Pulwama attack.
Atmarpit Nemiji – Personal Secretary to Pujya Gurudevshri, gave an insightful perspective on Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care, expounding Pujya Gurudevshri’s philosophy of seva and His vision behind this initiative. An informative video showcased the entire journey of selfless service and the impact of initiatives. The programme included the launch of ‘Sanity in Sanitation’, a book authored by Dr. Jayanti Ravi – Commissioner and Principal Secretary, Rural Development, Government of Gujarat. Dr. Ravi expressed her appreciation on the occasion, “On behalf of the Government of Gujarat, I congratulate the wonderful work that you are carrying out and we would be extremely happy to partner in whatever way possible to make all these dreams in these 10 domains actually fructify.”
Shri Amit Chandra – Managing Director, Bain Capital, also shared his experience, “It is an amazing opportunity that you have… the privilege of doing seva. Everyone needs a vehicle and you have the perfect vehicle to do seva. Everyone needs a path, a Guru and you have this amazing channel in this organisation that has been created.”
Shri Anil Matai – Managing Director, Zydus Healthcare Limited, expressed his appreciation, “Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care’s amazing spirit and unshakable faith inspired us to do better as human beings. The work being done by the volunteers truly is an example of what kindness, generosity and compassion can do to make the world a better place for everyone, by spreading kindness and positivity. May you continue the brilliant work in several spheres of life, under the guidance and blessings of Pujya Gurudevshri Rakeshbhai – we need more angels like your dedicated and committed volunteers on earth.”
