Mahavir Jayanti and Dhwaja Changing Ceremony Celebrated in the Ashram

The day of Chaitra Sud Teras (Wed, 17th Apr ’19) marks the auspicious occasion of Mahavir Jayanti, the birth of the 24th Tirthankar, Lord Mahavir.

The day is also significant as it marks the commencement of Shrimad Rajchandra Ashram Dharampur and the Jinmandir pratishtha.

Devotees gathered at Shrimad Rajchandra Ashram Dharampur on the blissful morning of Wednesday, 17th Apr 2019, to attend the celebrations. The day began with a connecting Snatra Puja, where the cradle of baby Bhagwan Mahavir was rocked to mark His hallowed birth. This was then followed by an elating 18 Abhishek pujan, where Atmarpits and other sevaks participated. Thereafter, amidst chants of the Lord’s name, the sacred Jinmandir dhwaja changing ceremony took place at the auspicious muhurat of 12:39 p.m. in the afternoon.

Every heart connected with the hymns of devotion and experienced great elevation through these pious celebrations at the Ashram.
