Nestled atop a serene hillock on the outskirts of Dharampur in Southern Gujarat, Shrimad Rajchandra Ashram serves as the International Headquarters of Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur.

Spread across a lush 223-acre landscape, and envisioned by Pujya Gurudevshri, this spiritual sanctuary stands as a vibrant hub dedicated to the pursuit of a higher existence.

For spiritually weary souls, the Ashram is an oasis that reawakens faith and inner peace. It reassures seekers that change is possible, happiness is possible, and self-realisation is possible, right here, in the present moment.

Salient Spaces

Jinmandir

Adorning the highest point of the Ashram, the magnificent new 108-pillar Jinmandir will stand as a testimony to the timeless tenets of Jainism for generations to come.

Bhagwan Mahavir as the moolnayak or principal deity will be flanked by idols of six other Tirthankar Bhagwans. The dhwaja or ceremonial flag at a height of 108 feet, will soar high over the pinnacle of the Ashram.

Built over 2.5 acres of land, with five impressive shikhars or crests, two large mandaps or squares, the richly carved structure will accommodate over 1600 seekers.

Gurumandir

Housed within the Jinmandir complex, a spectacular Gurumandir will be consecrated with a glorious idol of Shrimad Rajchandraji in the lotus position, right below Bhagwan Mahavir in the Jinmandir.

Additionally, four idols of Shrimad Rajchandraji in the lotus and standing positions will ensure that seekers can behold Him from any place.

150 ornate pillars will reflect the Gurumandir’s architectural splendour, while accommodating over 1600 seekers within the space.

Shrimad Rajchandraji’s parents will be sculpted on two pillars in front of the sanctum sanctorum.

Four pillars in the centre of the Rajmandir will have carvings of Shrimadji’s foremost devotees: Pujyashri Saubhagyabhai, Pujyashri Lalluji Muni, Pujyashri Ambalalbhai and Pujyashri Juthabhai.

Shri Chandraprabhu Praasad (Digambar Jinmandir)

A Digambar Jain temple embodies the dispassionate and divine essence of Jineshwar Bhagwan. The principal deity is Shri Chandraprabhu Bhagwan, alongside Shri Padmaprabhu Bhagwan and Shri Vasupujya Swami Bhagwan.

The Chandraprabhu Praasad is a sanctuary to the Omniscient Lord, inspiring visitors to immerse themselves in their true selves.

Raj Darbar

The Ashram’s spirit converges in the Amphitheatre where the majestic 34-foot idol — the world’s tallest statue of Shrimad Rajchandraji — towers over the spiritual valley.

The monumental idol is poised over a tranquil water body, an ode to Shrimadji’s lotus-like spiritual state.

Inaugurated at the 150th Birth Anniversary of Shrimad Rajchandraji in November 2017, the Mahamastakabhishek ceremony of the 34-foot pratimaji is performed every year. The space can accommodate over 5,000 devotees.

108 trees have been planted on the pathway leading to the Amphitheatre with 108 quotes from Shrimad Rajchandra Vachanamrutji.

Raj Sabhagruh

Envisaged by Pujya Gurudevshri, Raj Sabhagruh, the new Satsang and Meditation Complex stands as an iconic masterpiece in marble, symbolically designed in the form of a lantern to represent the radiant light of knowledge.

The colossal structure, rising to a height of 12 storeys, with an area of 1.65 lakh sq. feet is equipped with:

Honoured with the prestigious AR Future Project – Cultural Regeneration Award 2022 introduced by the internationally renowned magazine, the Architectural Review, it is not just a structure; it is a symbol of spiritual enrichment and architectural excellence.

Alluring Auditorium

The new auditorium for satsang is a powerful site to uncover the hidden depths of spiritual wisdom and uplift yourself through Pujya Gurudevshri’s empowering discourses. It is a testament to architectural prowess and acoustic expertise.

Four beautiful arches support the spiritual haven, while an inverted lotus ceiling radiates serenity. Each seat in the auditorium ensures an unobstructed view, tailored for an optimal experience. Three integrated LED screens elevate the visual journey, complemented by cutting-edge Audio-Video systems. The inviting foyer, with terrazzo flooring sets the stage for a warm reception. Each element signifies the integration of timeless teachings and modern technology, promising an unforgettable and engaging experience for everyone.

Meditation Hall

The Meditation Hall is above the Raj Sabhagruh auditorium. At a height of 20 metres, it offers a sense of peace, the moment you step into it.

The hue of blue lighting transforms the environment into an enclave for meditation, evoking a deep feeling of calm and tranquillity.

Meditation retreats will be conducted in this sanctified atmosphere.

Gardens

Gardens are ideally situated throughout the Ashram for multiple activities. The Community Garden features special children’s play area, sandpit, artificial turf, outdoor sports facilities, physical activity area, walking track and an introspective seating zone for residents.

The Meditation Garden encourages seekers to unwind, reflect and turn within. It features unique pyramid meditation cells, groves for contemplation, flower spreads and gazebos.

The Ashram encompasses a myriad of other gardens, each offering its distinct charm and purpose, creating a harmonious environment for residents with diverse interests and preferences.

Anekant Library

The Anekant Library, situated on the 3rd floor of the Raj Sabhagruh, is a repository of literary spiritual wisdom.

The Dining Complex

A modern kitchen facility with adjoining dining halls, the Dining Complex is thoughtfully designed to serve satvik food to over 10,000 people per meal, nourishing aspirants and helping them rejuvenate their spiritual practices.

Featuring a well-planned modular design, the complex comprises 10 dining halls spread across two levels, covering an expansive area of over 40,000 sq ft.

The kitchen itself spans 25,000 sq ft and is equipped with advanced technology and automated systems that enable efficient, large-scale meal preparation with speed.

Located around the Spiritual Valley and the heart of the Ashram in Dharampur, a spectrum of housing options for Ashramites includes Courtyard Villas, Sky Villas, Stepped Terraces and Crescent Blocks, amongst others.

Adorning the highest point of the Dharampur Ashram, the magnificent new 108-pillar Shri Mahavir Praasad (Shwetambar Jinmandir) stands atop the highest peak of Shri Dharampur Tirth. It is presided over by the divine presence of Bhagwan Mahavir as its principal deity.

Accommodation (for attending Ashram programmes)

For Shrimad Rajchandra Ashram room booking a variety of accommodation facilities are available, ranging from double-occupancy rooms to dormitories and air-conditioned rooms upon request. It is recommended that you apply for stay at least two weeks in advance of your visit.

Shrimad Rajchandra Sports Complex consists of three turfs laden with lush green artificial grass. Including stands for spectators, it is designed for football, cricket, volleyball, throwball, basketball, and other games and sporting activities.

Fitness and Recreational Centre

A modern 1500 sq ft fitness centre at the Ashram features a wide array of advanced workout equipment, including treadmills, ellipticals, cycles, functional gear, along with a dedicated studio space for aerobics and dynamic stretching.

The adjacent recreation centre offers activities such as table tennis, foosball, carrom boards, golf pool, and a selection of indoor board games.
