Flagging off the Radiant Rajgita Jnan Yajna

A spiritual roadmap for seekers, a guiding light for aspirants, a key to the inner treasures – all analogies fall short in accurately illustrating the spiritual splendour of the pious Shri Atmasiddhi Shastra, by Param Krupalu Dev. The exposition by Pujya Gurudevshri on this magnum opus has been christened as the Rajgita Jnan Yajna. A Jnan Yajna refers to the symbolic sacrifice of one’s ignorance in the purifying fire of the Guru’s spiritual knowledge. The Rajgita Jnan Yajna will be a unique 9-month online course for beginners, with 9 enlightening Yajnas of 9 sessions each in English every month from January to September 2021.

With throbbing hearts the youngsters at the Ashram welcomed their spiritual coach Pujya Gurudevshri as He arrived on the inaugural day of the first Rajgita Jnan Yajna. Pujya Gurudevshri adoringly venerated a large bound copy of Shri Atmasiddhi Shastra in golden letters with pujan. He unveiled the backdrop depicting the composition of Shri Atmasiddhi Shastra and lit the ceremonial lamp along with Atmarpit Nemiji, President of Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur, Vanprastha Abhay Jasani and trustees from the USA Raj Parivar, who were the Yajmaan of the first Rajgita Jnan Yajna.

The youth being the focus group of this Jnan Yajna, one youth member representing each of the 5 continents – North America, Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia – came forward to take a pledge. They committed that through the Rajgita Jnan Yajna they would surrender their focus and energies, understanding and beliefs, desires, and their entire beings at the Lotus Feet of Param Krupalu Dev so that they may realise His great dream for them.

The first Jnan Yajna witnessed Pujya Gurudevshri avidly introducing the text. He shed light on the need to study this text, the Composer, the aptness of the title and explained the glory of Shri Atmasiddhi Shastra. Atmarpit Maulikji, Atmarpit Nemiji and Atmarpit Apurvaji shared insight on the inspiration, the occasion, the first worthy receivers, the subject matter, the literary style, the various commentaries and translations of this sacred scripture. Pujya Gurudevshri then explained meanings of the verses 1 to 23, of the first section ‘Upodhghat’ of Shri Atmasiddhi Shastra.

The Master spoke in English, connecting effortlessly with the modern-day youth. The youth bonded with each verse by singing it. Pujya Gurudevshri began explanation of each verse by describing the link to the previous verse followed by its literal and short meaning. The Master’s further explanation of every verse instilled the significance of the richness of this scripture in each one. The enthusiastic youth went head-over-heels while listening to Pujya Gurudevshri’s greatly devotional yet perfectly logical and systematic exposition of Shri Atmasiddhiji. Pujya Gurudevshri praised their passion and appreciated their sincerity in spending hours in preparing and going over notes. To ensure that even devotees older in age and not familiar with the English language could associate fully with Shri Atmasiddhiji, these sessions were converted and conducted in Gujarati by Atmarpit Rajuji. The English discourses also have subtitles in French and Spanish, making the Rajgita reach out to a wider audience.

Highlighting the importance of Shri Atmasiddhi Shastra, Pujya Gurudevshri lovingly proclaimed that “It is the encyclopaedia of spiritual science. It convinces you on the intellectual level and shows you the path of Self-Realisation on an experiential level. Shrimad Rajchandraji is virtually carrying the sea of spiritual science in a bowl of the book of Shri Atmasiddhi Shastra”.

We are indeed blessed to have Pujya Gurudevshri take us on this beautiful journey of Shri Atmasiddhi Shastra – uncovering its essence verse by verse and eradicating our delusion layer by layer, all throughout hand holding us with immense care.

With utmost reverence we bow down to Param Krupalu Dev and Pujya Gurudevshri for bestowing upon us the priceless gift of the Rajgita Jnan Yajna.
