Celebrating 125 years of Shri Atmasiddhi Shastra

On the evening of Aso Vad Ekam, V.S. 1952 in the town of Nadiad, Shrimad Rajchandraji composed His magnum opus, Shri Atmasiddhi Shastra. Brimming with the essence of infinite scriptures, this poetic masterpiece is held in the highest regard by aspirants of liberation.

The festivities to celebrate the 125th Anniversary of Shri Atmasiddhi Shastra began on 31 October, Sharad Purnima, with Pujya Gurudevshri’s two-day shibir on ‘Varte Antarshodh’, the inner search. The Master explained that to win the inner war, a seeker requires both a defense plan and an action plan. He further elaborated upon the four steps of introspection: inspection, detection, negation and substitution of one’s faults. Introspection purifies the mind, contemplation makes understanding clear, and meditation makes one experience inner divinity. The evening also comprised of bhakti and meditation. Thousands in India and abroad watched the live telecast on YouTube and Jio TV’s SRMD 24x7channel.

The morning of Aso Vad Ekam V.S. 2076 dawned amidst fervour, chanting and dancing. The land of Shrimad Rajchandra Ashram Dharampur was suffused with bliss to commemorate the 125th anniversary of Atmasiddhiji. A sacred pujan began with Pujya Gurudevshri worshipping the text with sprinklings of vermilion, saffron-scented sandalwood, incense, lamps, rice, and fragrant flowers.

In the evening, a video depicting the origin story of Atmasiddhiji kindled a deep gratitude. Seekers also visited a re-creation of Shri Atmasiddhi Rachanabhoomi, Nadiad, on the grounds of the ashram, while a videoconference was setup with the Rachanabhoomi in Nadiad, enabling a virtual pujan as well. Devotees prostrated on the 142 verses of the profound composition to express their veneration. Indeed, in the divine refuge of Pujya Gurudevshri, Shri Atmasiddhi Shastra’s 125th year started amid great devotion.
