Turning Innovation into Enterprise at Shrimad Rajchandra Vidyapeeth A spark of entrepreneurship lit up Shrimad Rajchandra Vidyapeeth during a seminar on innovation and startups titled “Beyond the Lab: Turning Scientific Insight into Market Opportunity.” The seminar was organised by the college’s Startup, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Cell, in collaboration with Veer Narmad South Gujarat University’s Incubation Cell, the Institutional Innovation Council (a Government of India initiative), and the Student Startup and Innovation Policy (a Government of Gujarat initiative). Around 150 students and 20 faculty members attended the session, which guided them on how research can translate into real-world ventures. The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Nikita Vadsariya, Head of Strategic Partnerships at Syncoro Ventures, followed by a session by Mr. Kashyap Pandya, Founder of Syncoro Ventures. Both speakers shared practical insights on converting scientific ideas into viable businesses. “This seminar helped me understand that even a small research idea can become a startup,” said student Yash Patel. Dr. Jay Pandya, Co-ordinator of the R&D Cell of Shrimad Rajchandra Vidyapeeth, added, “Such programmes teach students to think beyond the lab and give teachers a new direction for mentoring.” The impact of these initiatives is already visible — student Tushar Sharma recently received a total grant of ₹12.2 lakh under the Nidhi Prayas Scheme (Department of Science & Technology, Government of India) and the Student Startup and Innovation Policy for developing reusable sanitary hygiene products. By nurturing creative thinkers and entrepreneurs, Shrimad Rajchandra Vidyapeeth is empowering youth to transform ideas into enterprises!
