SRMD Yoga – Taking Strides towards Universal Well-Being

The spiritual journey is one of discovering our true nature and abiding in it. One requires physical as well as mental fitness to make this experience a pleasant and fulfilling one. Aiding us on this voyage is SRMD Yoga; an effective means to develop bodily and inner flexibility and transcend one’s limitations. On the eve of the International Day of Yoga this year, SRMD Yoga unveiled several new initiatives to serve the world at large.

SRMD Yoga

Inspired by Param Krupalu Dev and envisioned by Pujya Gurudevshri, SRMD Yoga is a means to augment a seeker’s spiritual progress and wellbeing by facilitating physical and mental health. Through asana, pranayama, meditation and other yogic techniques, SRMD Yoga promotes a holistic way of living by aligning one’s body, mind and soul.

SRMD Yoga aims to bring light, love and peace to the world through the ancient Indian art of Yoga, while preserving its original essence and celebrating its ethos. Rooted in spirituality and powered by traditional asanas, breathing techniques, and meditation, SRMD Yoga is instrumental in enriching lives through yoga.

SRMD Yoga Accreditations

With Pujya Gurudevshri’s empowering guidance SRMD Yoga has obtained prestigious accreditations like:
  1. Yoga Alliance
    SRMD Yoga is a Registered Yoga School-200 Hours (RYS 200) with Yoga Alliance – the largest non-profit association representing the yoga community around the world.
  2. Associate Centre with Indian Yoga Association
    SRMD Yoga is also registered with the esteemed Indian Yoga Association (IYA) as an Associate Centre.
  3. ISO 9001: 2015 (QMS) and ISO 21001:2018 (EOMS) Certifications:
    These certifications imply that SRMD Yoga follows International Standards in operations and practices and is committed to deliver consistent and high-quality services.
The core team members of SRMD Yoga – Atmarpit Shraddhaji, Atmarpit Angiben, Hridayarpit Dr Suprina Sheth, Jivanarpit Dr Mansi Shah, and Jivanarpit Avni Talsania offered these accreditations at the Lotus Feet of Param Krupalu Dev and Pujya Gurudevshri.

SRMD Yoga Courses

SRMD Yoga offers three levels of courses – Basic, Intermediate and Advanced, which are conducted in 5 languages – English, Gujarati, Hindi, French, and Spanish and can be organised in-person or online.

  1. SRMD Yoga – Level 1
    A 3-Day Basic Course helps participants imbibe the basics of asana, pranayama and meditation practice in daily life. The emphasis is on physical and mental wellbeing.
  2. SRMD Yoga – Level 2
    The 5-Day Intermediate Course helps participants to bring their minds into a state of focus through guided practices by connecting with five core elements of nature– Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Space.
  3. SRMD Yoga – Level 3
    The 7-Day Advanced Course aims to uncover a rainbow of virtues by discovering subtler and deeper practices of asana, pranayama and meditation.
SRMD Yoga also offers a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training Course (TTC) which is an intensive program designed to give one the knowledge, skills and confidence to teach yoga classes. It is rooted in Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras and thus incorporates all eight limbs of yoga. This comprehensive curriculum covers asana practise, yoga philosophy, yogic lifestyle and ethics, anatomy and physiology, teaching practice, methodology and techniques and much more.

During the launch of these courses the Core Team members were blessed to receive the SRMD Yoga Teacher’s Kits from the revered hands of Pujya Gurudevshri.

Several Embassies, Corporates and Institutions tied up with SRMD Yoga for the International Day of Yoga, 2021 to bring about improvement of physical and mental efficiency of their members.

13 High Commissions, Embassies and Consulate Generals of India, including the High Commission of India in London with The Nehru Centre London, High Commissions of India in Fiji and in Mozambique; Indian Embassies in France, Belgium, Luxembourg, European Union, Kuwait (in collaboration with Seva Darshan) and Djibouti; the Consulate General of India in Sydney, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Chicago, New York and San Francisco associated with SRMD Yoga.

Corporates like the L&T Group, Samsung R&D Institute-Bangalore, Decathlon Sports India, KKR Equity and institutions like the Eastern Command of Indian Army, Department of Labour, USA and others collaborated with SRMD Yoga.

SRMD Yoga’s initiatives for International Day of Yoga, 2021 were supported by the Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India.

International Day of Yoga

June 21 is celebrated as the International Day of Yoga. Commemorating the occasion Pujya Gurudevshri joined in for a virtual yoga session organised by Barfi Bootcamp. Barfi Bootcamp is a workout group in London, founded by fitness enthusiasts and certified personal trainers Anish Mehta and Jaineel Shah. Adhering to the COVID norms of masking and social distancing, devotees at the Ashram participated in the virtual yoga session with the Master.

SRMD Yoga Teams conducted sessions on this day for the associated Embassies, Corporates and Institutions around the world.

SRMD Yoga also organises weekly yoga classes and hosts Workshops for Corporates. Follow-along tutorials too are available for yoga enthusiasts. SRMD Yoga has presence over various social media platforms such as YouTube, Facebook and Instagram and also has a dedicated website https://srmdyoga.org/ where one can log in for all the details of ongoing activities.
