- Health Care
- A free multi-speciality mega-medical camp and viklang-aids distribution drive was held in the city of Darbhanga, Bihar on Sun, 11 Dec, 2022 in the presence of Pujya Gurudevshri.
- A team of 60 doctors with specialities in more than 15 fields like surgery, gynaecology, cardiology, paediatrics, etc. screened and performed surgeries on thousands of patients.
- Patients who required major surgeries were further scheduled for procedures at Shrimad Rajchandra Hospital and Research Centre in Dharampur.
- The drive covered patients from about 150 villages situated in a range of about 60 km from the city of Darbhanga.
- Activities at Shrimad Rajchandra Hospital and Research Centre:
- On 4 Aug, 2022, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated Shrimad Rajchandra Hospital and Research Centre.
- In a short period of fewer than five months, the hospital has touched greater heights in the field of rural healthcare and social work.
- Complicated surgeries which were once possible only in the most advanced medical centres of urban India are now being performed at SRHRC, Dharampur.
- The treatments and surgeries which could cost lakhs of rupees have been made available free of cost to those living below the poverty line.
- The Cardiology department has performed 270 angiographies and 170 angioplasties.
- SRHRC completed the first open-heart bypass surgery in the Dharampur and Kaprada taluka of South Gujarat. Within 15 days of the first surgery, four more open-heart and valve replacement surgeries were performed.
- More than 40 complex spine surgeries have been completed under expert guidance from India’s leading spine surgeon Dr. Shekhar Bhojraj and his team.
- With support from Spine Foundation, Dr. Gautam Zaveri, Consultant Surgeon at Reliance and Jaslok Hospital, Mumbai, held a Spine Camp at SRHRC where seven spine surgeries were performed. This camp is scheduled to be conducted every two months.
- In Orthopaedics, knee and hip-replacement surgeries and arthroscopies are also done at SRHRC.
- India’s renowned doctors like Dr. Amit Kohli, Dr. Anant Bangar, Dr. Premik Nagad regularly visit SRHRC for special surgeries.
- Third-Party Administrators (TPAs) from renowned insurance companies have been empanelled to provide corporate and individual insurance facilities.
- As a part of the ‘paid section’, mumukshus of SRMD and people from all walks of life can avail of the best facilities in the hospital at affordable prices.
- Specific and customised health-checkup packages with international equipment have been made available at rates that may be 30-50% cheaper than the renowned hospitals in Mumbai.
