Implementing these invaluable teachings, Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care, USA hosted a seva yajna on August 12th in Parsippany, New Jersey, which saw over 800 volunteers come together to promote love and care for animals.
The event named ‘Wings of Kindness’ witnessed volunteers participate in a unique bird-house making activity, with the goal of making safe abodes for birds to build their habitat and protect their families. Volunteers were given Do-It-Yourself kits to assemble the bird-houses, letting their creative spirit truly take flight.
Once the bird-houses were assembled, the artistic talents of participants came to the forefront. Equipping themselves with vibrant paints, brushes and imagination, they set out to transform the simple structures into miniature works of art. Bird-houses featured creative designs, along with meaningful messages about love and compassion.
As the event drew to a close, participants were encouraged to take the bird-houses back with them to install in their own backyards, office spaces and other locations. Hence, this act of selfless service did not end with the event but extended to the daily lives of participants where they will be able to witness first-hand the compassionate impact of their efforts.
The event was graced by several dignitaries including Mr Bijender Kumar, Consul (Consular, Passport & OCI, Attestation), Consulate General of India, New York; Dr Ryan Saadi, CEO of Tevogen Bio; Mr Haresh Shah, JAINA President and Mr Dilip Shah, former JAINA President.
The Wings of Kindness seva yajna was yet another reminder of the power of collective spirit. We are forever thankful to Pujya Gurudevshri for enriching us with His profound teachings and for inculcating within us a culture of compassion.
