Kenya Dharmayatra 2022

Pujya Gurudevshri arrived in Kenya’s capital city Nairobi where Kirit-Mita Sanghrajka, Yatin-Falguni Shah and Bharat-Asha Parekh were His privileged hosts.

In the four-day Dharmayatra, Pujya Gurudevshri revealed the roadmap of spiritual progress for the devotees. Through two discourses at the Oshwal Centre Auditorium, the Master equated the human birth to a wish-fulfilling jewel and explained how it should not be wasted in mundane pursuits but should be utilised to manufacture eternal joy by realising the true Self.

Sending seekers into a state of divine delight, Pujya Gurudevshri sanctified several homes with padhramanis. Yatin-Falguni Shah and Bharat-Asha Parekh cemented the Lord in their hearts through blissful pratishthas. Joyousness flowed in the form of nrutyabhakti after the pratishthas.

Shree Sthanakvasi Jain Sangh (SSJS) was established in Kenya in 1927. The main objective of the organisation was to practice and promote religious activities and also to create a social forum for the Jain community there. The Master inaugurated Shrimad Rajchandra Jain Upashray at the Jain Bhavan made by SSJS. Amid great jubilation Pujya Gurudevshri unveiled the name plaque, while Param Krupalu Dev’s beautiful composition ‘Bina Nayan Pavey Nahin’ filled the ambience as the Master entered the Upashray. Pujya Gurudevshri also inaugurated Shrimad Rajchandra Ayambil Shala and blessed the kitchen, where food will be prepared for those undertaking austerities. Pujya Gurudevshri even unveiled a plaque of the newly constructed boardroom, lobby and a water borehole at the Jain Bhavan. The Master visited an exhibition on Param Krupalu Dev’s pristine life. He elevated the assembly with an Udghosh.

Pujya Gurudevshri graced Dr Rasik Kantaria Jalaram Medical Services, a charitable institution catering to medical needs of the less privileged, for the opening of Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care Gastroenterology Clinic. He was cordially welcomed by the trustees. Pujya Gurudevshri venerated Param Krupalu Dev’s chitrapat with flowers after which He inaugurated the clinic and unveiled the name plaque. Connecting chants of Param Krupalu Dev’s hallowed name reverberated.

Pujya Gurudevshri also graced the Lions SightFirst Eye Hospital, a charitable comprehensive eye care institution. On behalf of Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care, a cheque was presented to the hospital for carrying out 155 cataract surgeries – commemorating the 155th birth anniversary of Param Krupalu Dev.

Kenya devotees had a memorable retreat with Pujya Gurudevshri. Atmarpit Nemiji joined the Nairobi Youth Group members for a throbbing welcome dance. The gathering rejuvenated through a meditation and yoga session. Adding to the joy were interesting games with vital life lessons. Packed with deep insight, Pujya Gurudevshri’s Udghosh energised the audience. Seekers offered dedications including skits and dances at the Master’s lotus feet. He also connected informally with seekers, answering their queries and providing guidance for their spiritual journey. The evening was charged up with a spirited garba-raas.

Pujya Gurudevshri visited Mt. Kenya Animal Orphanage which is home to endangered, injured and neglected wild animals. Kenya devotees also visited the Equator Point with Pujya Gurudevshri. The Equator Point is the middle latitude, marked as 0º, and it divides the earth into the Northern and Southern hemisphere.

Pujya Gurudevshri brought the seekers of Kenya closer to the Divine through His unceasing compassion and love, as was evident from the strong connection that they experienced.
