Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care Shines at the Tata Mumbai Marathon Awards 2020 A truly global sporting event, the Tata Mumbai Marathon (TMM) represents a unique blend of athletic endurance and the spirit of giving. Over the years, it has established itself as the country’s premier sporting charity event in terms of funds raised, participation, and scale of impact. At the TMM organised on 19th January, Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 1,500 volunteers, who ran for the noble cause of the upcoming Shrimad Rajchandra Hospital, with the theme ‘You can Light Up Someone’s Life’. By the grace of Param Krupalu Dev and inspiration of Pujya Gurudevshri, Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care won several awards and citations at the Philanthropy Awards ceremony of TMM, held at the prestigious Raj Bhavan, Mumbai on 27th October, in the esteemed presence of Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari – Honourable Governor of Maharashtra and Chief Guest of the event. Highest Fundraising NGO Amongst the 295 participating NGOs, Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care won the Highest Fundraising NGO award for the 10th year in a row by raising Rs 7.50 crores. This feat also marks the highest-ever fundraising performance since its inaugural participation in 2011. Highest Fundraiser in the History of the Mumbai Marathon In memory of Sarvarpit Dhaval Mehta, over 5,500 people from across the world contributed towards his fundraising page. Raising over Rs 2.43 crores, Dhaval became the highest ever individual fundraiser at the Mumbai Marathon. Additionally, in recognition of this achievement, he was posthumously honoured with the title ‘Change Legend’. Change Icon Vanprastha Abhay Jasani – President, Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur, was recipient of the Change Icon trophy for raising over Rs 50 lakhs. Change Champion Vanprastha Mridula Jasani was recognised as a Change Champion for raising over Rs 25 lakhs. Highest Fundraising Young Leader Kruparpit Anyssa Kothari raised over Rs 10 lakhs in the category of fundraisers upto the age of 21 years. NGO with Highest Number of Corporate Teams With the support of 47 corporate teams out of 204 participating companies, Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care once again became the most trusted NGO for Corporate India. Winning this award for the 8th year in a row reflects the unshakable trust and faith that corporates have in its initiatives. NGO with Highest Number of Change Runners Change Runners are individuals who raise over Rs 1.50 lakhs for their selected NGO. Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care had the highest Change Runners, 59, supporting its cause. NGO with Highest Number of Young Leaders Fundraisers up to the age of 21, who raise a minimum of Rs 75,000 are considered as Young Leaders. 33 Young Leaders passionately supported Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care. NGO with Highest Number of Change Runners in Young Leaders Category Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care had 9 enthusiastic Young Leaders who were recognised as Change Runners for raising over Rs 1.50 lakhs each. Highest Fund-raising NGO in the Health Category With volunteers raising funds for the construction of the upcoming Shrimad Rajchandra Hospital at Dharampur, Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care received a citation in this category. NGO with Most Charity Bib Runners 187 Charity Bib runners supported the noble cause of Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care. On race-day, Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care had also won the Best Motivational Zone and the ‘Run Your Way’ (Group) Costume awards.
