Gurupurnima Shibir 2021 – A Week Long Fiesta

A true devotee’s life revolves around his Sadguru. And for such a lover of God, Gurupurnima is an invaluable opportunity to thank the Master for His invaluable gifts.

In spite of the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, devotees around the globe celebrated it virtually, getting a first row view of Pujya Gurudevshri at the Ashram.

7500 seekers from 24 countries registered for the Gurupurnima retreat to revel in Pujya Gurudevshri’s loving presence.

Monday

The week began with the Rajgita Jnan Yajna 8 wherein Pujya Gurudevshri lucidly expounded upon Shri Atmasiddhi Shastra. The verses comprised the epic moment where the disciple attains enlightenment, expresses his unprecedented gratitude and offers his life at the Lotus Feet of the Saduguru, perhaps the most apt offering a devotee can make to his Sadguru on the occasion of Gurupurnima!

Tuesday

On day two, devotees were blessed with virtual darshan of Shri Atmasiddhi Rachnabhoomi, Nadiad. The Master’s discourse gave an immersive exposition of verses 120 and 121, where the enlightened disciple, in utter amazement and feelings of respect and gratitude, shares His newly acquired experiential knowledge with his Sadguru.

Wednesday

Day three saw the Master, in His engaging demeanour, describe verses 122-123, leaving devotees feeling overwhelmingly grateful towards their Sadguru.

In this feeling of profuse thankfulness, several awards won for selfless initiatives of COVID-relief by the Mission, were presented and offered at the Lotus feet of Param Krupalu Dev, including:

  • Mahatma Award 2020
  • COVID Hero Award from the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai
  • COVID Public Health Warriors Award at the CSR Health Impact Awards 2021
  • Presidential Award by Jaina

Thursday

‘Aho! Aho! Shri Sadguru’ sang every heart, as the Master Himself most engrossed in feelings of gratitude; expounded verse 124 for the devotees.

Gratitude goes hand in hand with selfless acts of service. On this day, Raj Uphaar announced that Go First Airlines has officially partnered with the women empowerment initiative of Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care to provide the airlines with in-flight snacks. Raj Uphaar currently supports over 150 underprivileged tribal women in their quest towards attaining self-reliance and a respectable source of income. On the occasion of the 17th Anniversary of Shrimad Rajchandra Divinetouch, 17 new devotional songs were released on SRMD Bhakti channels online.

Friday

The fifth day of this gratitude-filled extravaganza commenced with showers of grace as parched devotees, longing to get a glance of Shrimad Rajchandra Ashram Dharampur, were treated to a soothing virtual visit. Eyes brimmed with tears, as devotees cherished the sight of their beloved, spiritual home. The soul-nourishing discourse by Pujya Gurudevshri focused on the verse where the enlightened disciple offers himself at the Lotus Feet of his Sadguru.

Saturday

On the blessed day of Gurupurnima, as the Master venerated His Guru, devotees world-over performed the auspicious Gurupujan from their homes.

This momentous day became even more captivating as Atmarpit Nemiji announced the upcoming launch of the book on Shri Atmasiddhi Shastra with Pujya Gurudevshri’s English commentary.

Pujya Gurudevshri also blessed seekers with the final pravachan of Rajgita Jnan Yajna. He then lovingly extended His blessings to all on this auspicious occasion.

Sunday

The morning of Ashadh Vad Ekam saw the enthralled devotees dancing to the tunes of the bhakti team as they revelled in Shri Atmasiddhi Shastra pujan.

Devotees at the Ashram and worldwide celebrated together with full gusto.

The evening ended with an offering by devotees glorifying 108 virtues of the beloved Master. Indeed, a fitting end to the sacred, week-long celebrations.
